RUTZ

Created in 2012, rutz walk in cork is a Portuguese brand born from a passion for the art of shoes and its savoir faire.

Cork is a 100% natural raw material, that is 100% reusable and 100% recyclable, extracted from cork oaks without harming the normal development of the species and without damaging the tree. The extracted cork is 100% harnessed. Once processed, into stoppers for example, cork can also re-enter the production process. The cork can be recycled by shredding and the granules resulting from this process can be used in other products, such as shoes and accessories, cladding panels, fishing buoys.

Name ‘RUTZ’ has two meanings: On one hand, the brand name recalls our “roots”, our Portuguese origins and traditions which will inspire our collections. On the other hand, the name shows us our “routes”, the paths we will follow towards to a better future: the eco-friendly choice of material and the concern with lightness and comfort. That said, Let’s walk “in” cork.
